Oct 21, 2013 · IPlayer stopped working in the new browser too. I went to the Adobe site and asked for the latest Flash Player (11) and downloaded it. After it was installed I went to the Microsoft IE site and downloaded the latest browser and reinstalled it. I then tried to use iPlayer in Microsoft IE11 and found that it worked. Has anyone yet found a solution to the problem of iPlayer not working on a Smart TV? It stopped working on my UE32ES5500 back in June and I've tried everything that the BBC and Samsung have suggested, all to no avail. All other Apps, including ITV Hub and All 4 work fine
Sep 05, 2017 · Thanks GavTech, I thought this might have fixed it, but it has come back. What I have worked out is that it has something to do with 'interactive' mode. If you reset your tv, bbc iplayer then works. If you then push the red button whilst on a BBC channel (which enters 'interactive' mode) then iPlayer will not load.
But the BBC iPlayer Radio app on Android and iPhone continues to work, alongside the new BBC Sounds app. BBC iPlayer still carries on for TV programmes, as before. The BBC Sounds app (on Android anyway, I can't comment about iPhone) is like a severely crippled version of the iPlayer Radio app - there's so much it doesn't do that the old app does.
Jul 22, 2020 · Hi Chris. From everything I’ve heard (and my own test), TunnelBear has sadly stopped working completely with the BBC iPlayer sometime in the past few weeks. It may come back just like it has before, but it’s impossible to know for sure. When it comes to value for money, all providers tend to charge similar amounts, plus or minus a few dollars.
