Resetting the admin password There is no way to recover a lost password for the admin account in Syncrify. The Forgot your password link on Syncrify's login screen only works for regular users. It does not work for the admin account.

Enable configuration reset switch: When this is enabled, you can press the reset button for 3 seconds to reset the administrator password and the system settings to default (NAS data will be retained) or 10 seconds for advanced system reset. Since we execute this as administrator (sudo), you will be asked for the admin password. I found (on my QNAP anyway) that this is the same password as for the admin of my QNAP. Last night I had what seems to be a significant fail on my QNAP ts-431. I heard it reboot around 6:20pm, and went to log in shortly after. My personal login works, but the admin doesnt. Thankfully I've made myself an administrator and could reset a few other things, like the ip addresses and get it back up and nearly running.
